Why ORALEA Is Different

Most colostrum never reaches your gut. We engineered Total Vitality so yours does.

Bovine colostrum is one of the most studied functional foods in nutritional science. But the IgG antibodies, growth factors, and bioactive compounds that make it valuable are fragile. ORALEA Total Vitality was designed to solve every failure point.

Potency

The number that matters most. And why most brands won't print it.

IgG (immunoglobulin G) concentration is the primary quality benchmark for any bovine colostrum product. It is the single metric that most directly reflects immune-protective capacity, gut-repair potential, and overall therapeutic value. IgG neutralizes pathogens in the gut, supports mucosal immunity, and enables every downstream benefit — from immune defense to skin repair to athletic recovery.

Most colostrum products are standardized to 15–20% IgG. Many do not disclose their IgG percentage at all. The absence of this number on a label is itself a signal.

ORALEA Total Vitality is standardized to 40% IgG — verified by independent third-party testing on every production batch. This is not a launch certification. It is a per-batch standard. Every bottle is tested. Every result is published.

At 40% IgG, each serving delivers more than double the immune-supporting antibodies of a typical 15–20% formula. More IgG per capsule means more pathogen neutralization in the gut lumen, more support for mucosal barrier integrity, and a higher defensive payload reaching the sites where colostrum exerts its biological effects.

Why this matters for your benefits:

IgG is the upstream driver of colostrum's most researched outcomes. Higher IgG concentration directly amplifies immune defense, gut integrity, skin and hair repair, athletic recovery, and energy — because a more efficient immune system and a healthier gut reduce the body's inflammatory energy expenditure.

Sourcing

When it is collected and how it is processed determine whether the IgG on the label is still active.

IgG concentration in bovine colostrum is not constant. It peaks in the first 6–12 hours post-calving and begins declining sharply after 72 hours, transitioning rapidly toward ordinary milk. Colostrum collected at the first milking contains the highest concentration of immunoglobulins, growth factors (IGF-1, EGF, TGF-β), lactoferrin, and PRPs.

Many colostrum products are sourced from mixed batches — combining first, second, and third milkings to increase yield. The trade-off is dilution. Mixed-batch sourcing dilutes IgG concentration and reduces the density of every bioactive compound that makes colostrum therapeutically valuable.

ORALEA sources exclusively from first milking — the highest-potency collection window. This is a yield decision, not a cost decision. Less product is collected. What is collected is more concentrated.

Cold-Chain Processing (0% Heat Denaturation):

IgG antibodies and growth factors are proteins folded into specific molecular shapes — and those shapes are what allow them to bind to receptors, neutralize pathogens, and trigger cellular repair. Heat above 60°C irreversibly unfolds these structures. Once denatured, the protein retains its amino acid content but loses its biological function.

Spray-drying — the most common processing method — exposes colostrum to temperatures exceeding 150°C at the inlet. Even with short exposure times, partial denaturation occurs. The IgG number on the label may reflect pre-processing concentration, not post-processing bioactivity.

ORALEA uses cold-chain processing: low-temperature microfiltration followed by freeze-drying (lyophilization) at sub-zero temperatures. The protein structures are never exposed to heat. Molecular integrity is preserved completely. 0% thermal denaturation.

Preservation

Every time you open the tub, you lose potency.

IgG degradation in colostrum follows first-order kinetics — it degrades at a constant rate proportional to what remains. Research by Yu et al. (2015) found that in powder form exposed to air, the estimated shelf life for IgG is just 86.5 days. Sealed in individual capsules, that extends to 425.5 days — 4.9 times longer.

The rate constant for loose powder is approximately 30 times higher than sealed form. Every time you unscrew the lid, you restart the clock on oxidation, moisture exposure, and bioactive loss.

ORALEA capsules seal each 750mg dose individually — no air exposure, no moisture contact, no repeated opening. Every capsule is as potent as the day it was made.

Purity

41 out of 43 plastic products tested released toxic chemicals.

Zimmermann et al. (2021) tested common plastic packaging and found 74% showed cytotoxicity. Between 1% and 88% of total chemicals migrated from packaging into the contents they held. Over 4,000 chemicals have been identified in plastic packaging materials.

Trasande et al. linked endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) — many originating from plastic — to an estimated 91,000 to 107,000 premature deaths annually in the United States alone.

Fat-soluble supplements like colostrum are especially vulnerable — lipophilic compounds in plastic preferentially migrate into fatty matrices. Every colostrum brand in a plastic tub is exposing their product to this reality.

Ethics

Protection does not stop at the bottle. And quality does not start at the factory.

UV & Light Protection

Light — particularly UV radiation — degrades sensitive proteins including immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, and growth factors. IgG antibodies are photosensitive — UV exposure initiates photo-oxidation reactions that damage tertiary protein structure, reducing pathogen-binding capacity.

Total Vitality ships inside a cardboard outer tube that completely blocks light and UV exposure from facility to shelf. The frosted glass bottle continues that protection in ongoing storage — and the cardboard tube can be kept for additional light shielding between uses.

Ethical Sourcing: Calf First Collection

Colostrum was produced for one biological purpose: to give a newborn calf everything it needs to survive its first hours. ORALEA practices calf-first collection — the calf receives its full required colostrum before any surplus is collected. No exceptions.

Beyond ethics, sourcing quality directly affects product quality. Pasture-raised, grass-fed herds produce colostrum with a broader spectrum of immunoglobulin classes and higher micronutrient density. Hormone-free — no rBST, no synthetic growth hormones. No antibiotics in contributing herds. US-sourced with traceable farm-of-origin. cGMP certified facility ensures consistent quality controls from raw material to finished product.

The Transparency Standard

Third-party testing is table stakes. Batch-level transparency is not.

Most supplement brands that claim "third-party tested" are referring to a single test performed at product launch or during an annual audit. The test applies to one production run. Every subsequent batch ships on the assumption that it matches — without independent verification.

ORALEA tests every production batch independently. Not at launch. Not annually. Every batch.

Every bottle of Total Vitality carries a unique QR code linked to the actual certificate of analysis (COA) for that specific production run. Not a generic brand-level test result — the specific batch you are holding. Scan it and see exactly what is in your bottle.

What is tested — every batch:

IgG potency verified at 40%. Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) tested to FDA and USP limits. Microbial safety screening including Salmonella, E. coli, and Staphylococcus. Contaminant screening for pesticide residues and aflatoxins. Identity confirmation of bovine colostrum origin. Non-GMO verified, rBST-free confirmed.

This is what transparency looks like when it is built into the product, not bolted on as marketing.

Transparency

You can see the powder inside. Here is why that matters.

ORALEA Total Vitality is encapsulated in clear standard capsules — cellulose and water, fully transparent. This was a deliberate formulation decision.

Colostrum powder quality is visible if you know what to look for. The appearance of the powder inside the capsule is a direct proxy for processing quality and storage integrity.

What you should see — and what you see in Total Vitality:

Fine, free-flowing powder. Off-white to pale cream in color, with a faint warm undertone. Uniform throughout. No clumps, no browning, no visible moisture aggregation. This is the expected visual signature of properly processed, skimmed, freeze-dried 40% IgG colostrum concentrate.

What degraded colostrum looks like:

Medium tan, brownish, or darker coloring indicates the Maillard reaction — heat damage that destroys tertiary protein structure and deactivates IgG. Clumping indicates moisture ingress — hygroscopic degradation is already in progress. Bright white that is too uniform may indicate over-processing, heavy filtration, or additives masking the natural color.

In a sealed plastic tub, this is invisible. In a clear capsule, it is not.
